Coasting in Kobe

For the last two weeks of October, I traveled with my family to 5 different cities in China and Japan. Most of our stay was spent in Beijing, where my parents grew up and where my extended family live - it was undoubtedly one of my most memorable experiences and each city gave me a new perspective, a new reason to be grateful and a new reason to love. I'm excited to share all of them with you by city, in a series of photo diaries.
Kobe is arguably my favorite city we visited in Japan. In 1995, a huge earthquake practically destroyed the entire landscape but made way for a reemerged city that tried to preserve its past while introducing new technology and renovations. Now this port city has left its mark, from the streets to the ocean, to the world renowned beef, to its unique charm. And I'm just getting started...
